Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step to signing in, so your password alone isn't enough to get into your account. Turn it on from User Settings, in the Two-Factor Authentication section.

Here it works by email: once it's on, each time you log in we email a short numeric code to your address, and you enter that code to finish signing in. There's no authenticator app to enrol - it uses the address you already confirmed, so you'll need a verified email for this to be available.

You can switch 2FA off again from the same place whenever you like.
