Your profile

Your profile is your own page on the site, showing your posts along with a little about you. To edit it, open your own profile - your name in the top-right links there - and use the edit control on your profile card. You can click your name or bio directly to start editing.

• Your display name is the friendly name shown above your username. Leave it blank and your username is shown instead.
• Your bio is a short line about yourself. Any links, #hashtags, and @mentions in it become clickable.

You can also set an avatar - the small picture shown next to your name - by uploading an image from your profile. Your username itself is fixed once you sign up, but your display name, bio, and avatar are yours to change any time.

Pinned posts

Every post of yours carries a Pin button. Pinning lifts it to a Pinned section at the top of your profile - up to five at a time, with Unpin to swap them out. Pins travel to the Fediverse too, so other servers show them on your profile there.
