This software didn't start out as a Fediverse thing. It was originally just going to be a social networking site. I added the Fediverse about halfway through development which did steer it a little bit but mostly it's still the way it was designed to begin with and the Fediverse stuff just happened to fit nicely. There are a lot of features that most Fediverse software doesn't cover at all like adding location to your posts, scheduled posts, drafts, posting in markdown and probably a bunch of other things. I don't know. I've only used Mastodon a bit to test my server. Anyway, the software is free and you can fork it or whatever you like. https://github.com/FedgeNo/glommer
